DeLille Cellars, founded in 1992, is the oldest operating winery in Woodinville, WA, with winemaking and hospitality operations at the Old Redhook Brewery in the Hollywood District of Woodinville Wine Country. POSITION SUMMARY
DeLille Cellars, an artisan winery located in Woodinville, Washington, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Cellar Lead. This position will provide an ideal learning environment for the aspiring winemaker, as the successful candidate will be exposed to numerous varietals sourced throughout the Columbia Valley and be exposed to a variety of winemaking techniques. The Cellar Lead for DeLille Cellars is responsible for managing all cellar tasks as delegated by the Cellar Master
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• At the direction of Enologist manages and performs all production tasks as necessary
• Assists with maintenance of operational space and equipment
• During crush and bottling: assists with leadership and direction of temporary workers and interns.
• Efficiency and safety are top concerns.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Establish good working relationships with other team members.
• Foster positive communications and relationships with team members, vendors, and customers.
• Keep up to date on industry trends and developments.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in meetings as requested
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ year’s experience in winemaking.
• Education. Bachelor’s in Enology or related field preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Frequent standing, walking and sitting.
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds.
• Occasional lifting and carrying up to 60 pounds.
• Must be able to work at computer or desk area for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to use a computer.
