Established wine tour business seeking fun, dynamic driver/hosts for on-call work in Santa Ynez Valley. Friendly, out-going, "can-do" personality required. This is fun, flexible, part-time, on-call work, a great side gig for someone looking for supplemental income. Class B Driver License with Passenger Endorsement Required. Must be able to pass a drug test and medical exam as required for all commercial drivers.
Drive well-appointed, well-maintained shuttle and guide groups on a fun, carefree day throughout Santa Ynez Wine Country. Must love people, be well-spoken and comfortable leading a group. Wine and local Santa Ynez Valley knowledge preferred. You'll be following a pre-planned itinerary visiting wineries and serving an artisan boxed lunch carefully prepared by our caterer. We strive to make "magic moments" for our guests, who are often out celebrating special occasions.
Must have a strong commitment to customer service and hospitality and work well with others. Must me able to manage your own tour and work well without supervision. Previous experience working at a winery, hotel, or as a tour guide highly valued. Must have a clean, polished appearance. Driver/hosts need to be able to wear a smile and make decisions under pressure, tactfully handling any issues that arise "behind-the-scenes," reading guests well and understanding group dynamics while staying organized and keeping the group on schedule.
Driver/hosts should be fun and light-hearted, but also organized and reliable. We do not operate scripted tours and value the unique skill sets and personalities of our people. You must also be able to be on your feet for most of the day, and lift cases of wine and water up to 40 lbs. Driver/hosts receive a competitive hourly wage and have the potential to make excellent tips from every tour they lead. This is fun, flexible, part-time, on-call work. Excellent for grad students, parents, retired persons, or as a fun second job. Most shifts are day shifts on weekdays and weekends, though some evening driving work may be possible.
