Late Harvest Interns typically work from mid-October through mid-December, and sometimes January, depending on the season. They play a vital role in supporting the Winemaking team with harvest, assisting with the fermentation process, and contributing to maintaining the cellar operating safely and effectively.

+ Required Qualifications
We are looking for individuals who are interested in learning, are passionate about winemaking, and don't have problems with getting their hands dirty (or their feet). The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. •  Able to climb a ladder regularly and lift and carry 50 pounds on a repetitive basis and to work standing up on concrete surfaces for extended periods.
•  Good English level (spoken and written), ability to read, understand, and follow work and safety-based SOPs.
•  Capacity to work autonomously and in a team environment maintaining a positive attitude.
•  Have flexibility and willingness to work in changing environments.
•  Ability to work extended shifts during harvest, including weekends.
•  Strong work ethic, proactive approach, reliability, and punctuality. 
•  Passion and interest in wine and winemaking, ability to learn quickly.
•  Ability to follow verbal instructions fully and carefully.
•  Effective organization and communication skills.
•  Attention to detail and focus on quality.
•  Commitment to Safety.

+ Essential Duties & Responsibilities
•  Grape processing/sorting - operate bladder press and/or destemming line
•  Fermentation analysis - daily record of brix and temperature
•  Inoculations and additions - yeast rehydration, nutrients and sulfur adds
•  Fermentation management - pump-over or punch down, dig out
•  Winery software 
•  Barrel work and sampling - racking, barrel down, topping
•  Winery cleaning/sanitation - contribute to maintaining the cellar and the equipment clean and organized
•  Special projects and other responsibilities - attending tasting room events, social media content, etc.

+ Preferred Qualifications
•  Forklift experience
•  Previous cellar and winemaking experience
•  Valid driver's license and clean driving record
•  Compensation: the hourly compensation varies
