Nostra Vita Family Winery is a family operated sparkling wine house that is dedicated to the production of high-quality French and new age style traditional sparkling wines. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive growth in the competitive wine market.
JOB SUMMARY
The sales manager will be responsible for implementing strategic sales goals by developing project plans and executing sales strategies. These sales goals will be established with the executive leadership and sales teams, while optimizing expansion opportunities. Nostra Vita is seeking a like-minded professional, who is enthusiastic and will lead a creative team that is both competitive and determined to achieve those goals and expand our market reach. The manager’s role requires a deep understanding of the wine industry, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales.
Within our close-knit team, we share wine recommendations, sales strategies, and customer insights. While we collaborate, we also work independently to achieve both personal and team sales targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company sales goals and revenue
targets.
- Establish, lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to ensure high performance and the achievement of
strategic sales goals and objectives.
- Identify new market opportunities and expand the customer base, including restaurants,
wholesalers, retailers, and business to business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and partners.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
- Collaborate with Executive Team.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in wine sales and a track record of success required.
- Strong understanding of sales principles, customer service practices, and the wine market.
- Excellent communication, negotiations, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team.
- A competitive self-starter who enjoys moving into new wine markets.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Monthly travel within California and designated states required.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance required.
- Must be able to lift 55 lbs to chest height.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong data analysis skills and the ability to develop customer relations, strategies, programs,
and promotions to meet strategic corporate/sales goals.
- Passion for wine and a deep knowledge of wine products, méthode champenoise, and trends.
- This position requires you to be on site at our Lodi facility.
