Cellar Hand position - August through October, with possible extension through March to help with post-harvest work and bottling. Flexible start date. There is potential for a part-time or full-time position. Flexible if going to college in late September or want to work part-time. Looking for 2 hard-working, positive and dedicated people to work in a small and dynamic winery. Experience is not critical...we can train. Potential for short-term housing or housing subsidies. Harvest lunches provided on pick days.
Limerick Lane Cellars is a small family winery producing world-class wines from 50 acres located in the Russian River Valley in Healdsburg. Planted in 1910, these ancient vines create wines of distinction that only the right combination of wind, fog, sun, soil, and 110 years can provide.
The ideal candidates will be able to follow written and verbal instructions, have a strong work ethic, be highly dependable, a quick-study, and have a positive attitude. Must be able to lift and carry 50+ lbs.
The intern will be part of a small, hard-working team dedicated to making superb wines. They will work in all aspects of harvest activity including but not limited to: grape sampling, receiving and processing fruit, winery sanitation, pump-overs/punch downs, drain and press operations, barrel filling, fermentation monitoring, and forklift operation. You will get to learn all aspects of the winemaking process and never have two days alike!
This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to work with some of California's oldest Zinfandel plantings as well as Rhone varietals like Mourvedre, Syrah, Grenache, etc.
$21 - $24 DOE, plus overtime
